Celebrating the 4th

We spent a glorious week at the lake with Dirck's sister and family. I have more pictures to come, and as soon as life slows down long enough for me to post them, I will (I promise!), but for now, here's a few of our 4th-of-July highlight.

A fun little neighborhood parade where candy was thrown to my kiddos, and they got to wave American flags at the "floats" (ie, golf carts).  My little lady here even had a Tiara thrown to her - made her day, I tell ya.

I've been so behind on this little blog-o-mine. I still have vacation pictures from May that I want to post and talk about, along with lots of stuff in between. Hopefully, I'll have time to do it one day . . .

Lightening Bugs

Summer, fireflies, and kids go hand-in-hand.

These two are usually in bed long before these bugs come out and play. I think this made it even more exciting for them to actually catch a few.
